COMMUNITY TOTEM POLE CARVING PROJECT FRI 14th - SAT 29th SEPTEMBER 2007

Morning 9am -12.30pm Afternoon 2pm - 5pm Evening 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Fri 14th Preparation of hall and setting out of tools etc Preparation of hall and setting out of tools etc Blessing Ceremony of the log - Meal in Games Room for Guests, Committee and Hosts
Sat 15th Stripping Tree Bark - Collection of drawings and community designed totem poles on display Design drawings and marking up of the log - Discuss tool use and safety Design drawings and marking up of the log - Carving
Sun 16th Carving Carving Workshop in the Hall Carving Workshop in the Hall Commodore for informal gathering 8pm
Mon 17th Site seeing visits - St Marys - Barriers - Italian Chapel - Fossil Centre Carving Workshop in Hall

Visit St Andrew PS for Guided Drawing talk on traditions and designs of Totem Poles - Story, Music & Dance

Youth Groups - Brownies - Guides and BBs for carving of Totem
